Co-Curricular Program
The York School offers a diverse and constantly evolving list of clubs to nurture student interests and build strong interpersonal skills. Junior School students are invited to extend their learning in our Co-Curricular Program which is offered over all three terms in the Fall, Winter, and Spring.
All Clubs and athletics are offered after school from 3:30pm - 4:30pm for Primary (JK - Gr. 2) and Junior students (Gr. 3-6).
Offerings are run by both external providers at an additional cost, or by Junior School faculty at no cost. Any fees are billed directly to the family’s account. We work closely in partnership with our external providers to ensure that high-quality programs are offered.
Each term, a detailed description of all athletic teams and club offerings will be outlined in our Co-Curricular Program Guide and shared with families in The JS Nest prior to registration/sign-up on YorkNet.
We offer a variety of clubs designed to reflect diverse student interests, including STEAM, dance, drama, arts and crafts, science, cooking, and LEGO workshops.
Instructions about Co-Curricular Registration/Sign Up for the fall term will be shared with families in our online communication The JS Nest and on YorkNet in late August.
Fall Co-Curriculars and Athletics
Friday, August 28 - Registration for Fall Clubs & Athletics 2026-2027 opens at 9:00 am online on YorkNet.
Thursday, September 3 - Registration for Fall Clubs & Athletics 2026-2027 closes at noon.
Monday, September 14 - All Fall Co-Curricular & Athletic programming begins at the Junior School.

*Please note that there are no Fall club offerings for students in Junior Kindergarten as our youngest learners need time to acclimatize to a full day academic program.
Individual programs often have a maximum number of participants but every effort is made to accommodate student interest. In the case of high demand, we have been able to open an additional section of a particular offering to accommodate those students on the waitlist. We may also have to cancel a club offering due to a lack of student interest and under enrollment.
